MillionPlus welcomes a thorough and fair review of Level 3 qualifications but warns against the possibility of moving towards more rigid set of qualifications that do not offer young learners sufficient flexibility and portability. MillionPlus emphasises the success of the BTech qualification in recent years and its instrumental role in driving social mobility. MillionPlus stresses that through the development of T levels, special consideration should be taken to avoid contributing towards a false binary of academic or vocational education. MillionPlus also raises some concern over the proposed grading for T Levels which may prove unnecessarily complex when confronted by higher education providers or employers.
