Battling cyber crime - University of Bedfordshire

06 May 2016

Designed in conjunction with leading cyber-security consultants from within the industry, including QA Ltd (a leading training consultancy that works with GCHQ and the Ministry of Defence), the course is designed to address the gap of security management that is not currently covered by academic programmes or professional training provision within the sector.

With a focus on Information Security Management Systems, the course encapsulates both the technical and management aspects of cyber security. Development was driven by an industry-identified need for individuals to have a more holistic knowledge of cyber security and it is designed to be a candidate for provisional accreditation with the GCHQ scheme. The cyber-crime division of Bedfordshire Police strongly support its provision and plan to embed it as an integral part of their developmental framework for current and future employees.

In response to market preference, the course is delivered on a part-time basis, at weekends, and at University of Bedfordshire campuses.
