million+ is a university think-tank
We use rigorous research and evidence-based policy to address and provide solutions to complex problems in higher education. We publish research reports and policy papers and we submit evidence to parliamentarians, government and other agencies.
We aim to develop and shape public policy and funding regimes on a non-party basis so as to:
- Enable people from every walk of life to benefit from access to universities that excel in teaching, research and knowledge transfer
- Promote collaboration between universities, business, government, the NHS, the not for profit-sectors and international partners to enhance social and economic outcomes
- Celebrate the strength and diversity of the UK higher education sector
UK universities are a major force in the UK and in global higher education and they educate over 2 million students a year. Their students and graduates are entrepreneurs, business people, artists, scientists, engineers, teachers, health and care professionals who are building a modern world. They epitomise the dynamism and diversity of modern society and they study and work in the UK and in countries throughout the world.
As part of our role as a not-for-profit university think-tank million+ provides up-to-date briefings for affiliates, facilitates information exchange and discourse between university leaders, Ministers, MPs, members of the House of Lords and stakeholders such as the National Union of Students and hosts working groups for senior staff involved in research, enterprise and employability, admissions, public affairs and teacher education.
