Last week, DesignCurial named Cameron Design House, established by London Met alum Ian Cameron, as April's 'one to watch'.
Following degree courses in both furniture design & realisation and furniture & product design at London Metropolitan University, Cameron was inspired to explore lighting design due to the intriguing opportunities for creativity and technical innovation. Inspiration for the studio’s products comes from Cameron’s links with the UK and Finland, with each bespoke piece combining Britain’s tradition of pushing creative possibilities with the Nordic trademark of clean lines and harmonious living.
‘I draw inspiration from literally everywhere, from sci-fi films to nature and brutalism. I am constantly fascinated by my surroundings. I have a strong Finnish heritage and I draw a lot of inspiration from Finland as well as my travels.’
