million+ responds to OFFA director’s comments on university fees

Pam Tatlow Chief Executive of million+ said, “The most immediate threat to access to university arises from the failure of DIUS, the Department responsible for universities, to provide funding to meet the unprecedented demand from people of all ages who want to go to university in September. Until this is resolved, speculation about a future increase in the full-time tuition fee is a diversion and also ignores the impact of such a rise on part-time students (who still have to pay tuition fees upfront) and on universities which offer flexible routes of study.”
