MillionPlus welcomes the Knowledge Exchange Framework technical group

01 Dec 2017

MillionPlus, the Association for Modern Universities, has today (1 December) welcomed the announcement that the Universities and Science Minister Jo Johnson has invited Hefce to set up a technical advisory group to begin the development of Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) metrics.

Pam Tatlow, Chief Executive of MillionPlus, said:

“We welcome the creation of a technical advisory group to help inform further thinking about KEF. The industrial strategy will only be delivered if modern universities are engaged and KEF has the potential to play a key role in improving productivity. It will be important that any metrics which emerge help universities to expand knowledge exchange partnerships and that no new barriers are erected via bandings or other mechanisms that would constrain potential and the growth of such partnerships in future.”
