Edinburgh Napier Nursing programme lands national award

Edinburgh Napier University scooped a major honour at this year’s Student Nursing Times Awards.

The university was named Nurse Education Provider of the Year (pre-registration) for its learning disability nursing programme.

Napier also had finalists in two other categories at the glittering ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane, with Margaret Burrows shortlisted for Mentor of the Year and Kelsie Louise Buchan shortlisted for Student Nurse of the Year: Learning Disabilities.

Professor Tracy Humphrey, Dean of the School of Health & Social Care, said: “This is a prestigious award that is well-deserved. Well done to the learning disability team, the wider School and support staff as there are many people and services who have contributed to this shared success.”
