million+ chair Patrick McGhee - students need real shared experiences
million+ chair, Professor Patrick McGhee, raises concerns that online learning may "reinforce rather than disrupt a two-tier education system ... Helping the poor get a better version of what is ultimately a derivational form of education is a feeble kind of disruption and more of reproduction of structural educational disadvantage."
Though merits exist for MOOCS (massive open online courses) many experiences "cannot be meaningfully created online."
